Sachin’s First T20 Fifty (Unofficial, Vs Pak, Peshawar, 1989)
On 16 December 1989, a hastily arranged India-Pak T20 match was arranged in Peshawar after an ODI was washed out. Teenager Sachin Tendulkar’s brilliant 53 off 18 balls in that match, hitting the likes of Abdul Qadir and Mushtaq Ahmed out of the park, has become part of the cricketing folklore. It announced to the world the arrival of the phenomenon!
