Sachin’s first innings as an ODI opener (Auckland, Vs New Zealand, 1994)
27 March 1994. After playing in the middle order in his initial ODI career, Sachin Tendulkar opened for India for the first time in the 2nd ODI against New Zealand. Scoring a whirlwind 82 in 49 balls, he delivered a match-winning performance.
